INFLUENZA UPDATES
Q&As
Several new Q&As have been posted about nationwide allocation:
- What are CDC and state and local governments doing to allocate
vaccine? - What is the supply of influenza vaccine available for distribution
at this time? When will shipment occur? - How will this remaining supply of vaccine be allocated and
distributed? - When will the 3 million contract doses be available?
- When will the 8 million remaining doses be available?
- Who is included in the allocation plan?
- What is the apportionment formula that is used to determine
states' allocation of vaccine? - What is the Minnesota Multi-State Contract and how does it
affect the current allocation plan? - Are vaccine doses that might be acquired from foreign sources
later in the season included in these distributions? - Are the nasal-spray vaccine doses included in either of these
allocations? - Are all distributors of the inactivated influenza vaccine charging
the same price? - Who decides which distributor is used?
- Who is deciding which providers will receive influenza vaccine?
- How long will it take for a provider to receive vaccine once the
state has submitted the order information to CDC? - What should providers do if they do not have enough vaccine to
vaccinate their priority patients? - What is the Secure Data Network and how can I gain access?
