SMALLPOX

Evaluate a Rash Illness Suspicious for Smallpox
This is an updated tool to help with the evaluation of a rash illness suspicious for smallpox to be used only when there is no release or circulation of smallpox.

WEST NILE VIRUS (WNV)

2004 WNV Activity in the United States
Provides updated information on West Nile virus activity in the United States . Fifty-seven human cases have been reported to CDC this season as of June 29, 2004 . Of the 57 cases, 19 were reported as West Nile fever, 35 were reported as West Nile meningitis or encephalitis (neuroinvasive disease), and 3 were clinically unspecified. One death was also reported during this time period.
