BIOTERRORISM
Emerging Infectious Disease Journal Article: Estimating Time
and Size of Bioterror Attack
This article presents a Bayesian approach to estimating the details
of a bioterror attack for use in real time, and is illustrated using
data from a simulated anthrax attack.

WEST NILE VIRUS (WNV)
2004 WNV Activity in the United States
Provides updated information on West Nile virus activity in the United States . Seventy-eight human cases have been reported to CDC this season as of July 6, 2004 . Of the 78 cases, 22 were reported as West Nile fever, 49 were reported as West Nile meningitis or encephalitis (neuroinvasive disease), and 7 were clinically unspecified. One death has been reported.
